Helping your organisation to make more impact, through the voices of its founders, teams and clients.

“The conversations are so rich! There is so much information that comes from them, that can be split up into so many different snippets and used for such a long time”
Amy Pulling, Marketing Manager, Cognitive Law
The Richest Conversations are my way of creating video content by having relaxed chats. They’re for:

1.
Marketers under pressure to produce more video with less. You’re tired of chasing colleagues and clients for articles and testimonials. And you worry your website’s looking stale.
2.
Founders under pressure to be on video. You’re not clear or confident on what to say, and if you do nothing, you worry you’re letting your business – or your marketing colleagues – down.
Conversations help
My approach – a mix of journalism and curiosity – is shaped by my BBC and business careers.
While I still love interviewing people, this website is really here to help you to lead your own chats.
I call them ‘The Richest Conversations’, because when you record quick interviews using live broadcasting techniques you get:

Content with real warmth
It stays with your audience long after they’ve clicked away. Authentic marketing which builds trust.
Content in bulk
A wealth of quotable moments in a surprisingly short amount of time. Up to 10 video clips in the space of 15 minutes.
Content that cuts the hard work
Imagine the microphone’s live and you’re more likely to do things in one go, slashing recording and editing time.

years experience
Why I know this works
I’ve been recording chats like these for a long time: nearly 25 years at the BBC and more than a decade as a communications consultant.
My work on BBC Radio 4 programmes (Woman’s Hour and Desert Island Discs) proved to me that people come across at their best when they’re in the flow of a relaxed conversation. Audiences are drawn to their feelings as well as their words.
Since 2011, I’ve used that experience to help organisations capture the stories of their leaders, teams and clients, producing content that builds trust, because it has the warmth and energy of a live broadcast.

Using Miranda’s approach to making video completely changed things for me. If it had been up to me, I would have done one video per person and that interview would have gone on for far too long. I wouldn’t have cut it up to make multiple videos. Using Miranda’s approach, I got something like 350 videos: all different lengths and sizes and for different use purposes. I’ve got so much content that tells people what’s great about me and my approach. If I put that out in the right way, I reckon that’ll make me £300,000 to £500,000. I like that. That’s great.

I interview people almost every day as a copywriter, to get ideas, content and quotes. I should have a system for that, and I just don’t. So, Miranda’s approach really settled me. It helped me understand what I was doing instinctively and being able to name it. It gave me specific techniques. And a lot of it was confidence. Like I’d often ask for an hour of people’s time, because that’s the default block in a calendar. And you don’t need that long! You can make a connection and warm people up in just 5, 10, 15 minutes. I think that’s super valuable.
